RD8000: Universal Chopped Top Adapter Kit for Chevrolet, Ford and Studebaker Headliners

This American‑made adapter kit allows builders to enlarge or adapt a molded ABS headliner to fit a chopped‑top car or truck.

Application Notes

• Ideal for adapting a molded ABS headliner to vehicles without a direct‑fit application or those with modified sheet metal
• ABS radius strips formed to the same radiuses as the molded headliner for a smooth fit during expansion

Examples of Compatible Applications

• 1931–1934 Chevrolet Coupes — Use this Adapter Kit with RD3712 (Ford 1930–1934 Molded Headliner) to adapt for proper fit.
• 1931–1934 Ford Coupes and Trucks — Adapter Kit required ONLY for chopped tops when the cab is extended. Standard chops only lower the roof and do not enlarge the cab’s sheet metal or wood.
• 1937–1946 Chevrolet Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops
• 1947–1955 (Early) Chevrolet Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops
• 1938–1947 Ford Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops
• 1948–1952 Ford Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops
• 1953–1956 Ford Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops
• 1961–1966 Ford Trucks — Adapter Kit required for chopped tops

Extended‑cab applications: Any of the above vehicles with an extended cab require two headliners plus one Adapter Kit. Please call first — our motto: “Call Twice, Cut Once.”

Fitment Expansion Capability

This kit will enlarge a molded headliner by up to 2‑1/2 inches in both length and width.

• Length = distance from front windshield to rear window
• Width = distance from door to door
